Rachel is a board certified Adult Nurse Practitioner with over 8 years of experience. She received both a bachelor’s degree in nursing and a Master’s degree in nursing from the Accelerated Nurse Practitioner program at the University of Massachusetts Medical School, in which she received honors.

The University of Massachusetts Medical School has repeatedly been ranked in the top 5, in Primary care. She worked as a registered nurse during graduate school, and after graduating, she worked on several medical/surgical trauma, orthopedic, cardiology and neurology floors at numerous hospitals. Once board certified,

Rachel specialized in neurology. She became the first nurse practitioner in the history of the practice in North Carolina to start a pilot treatment program, funded by Medtronics, to treat patients with a baclofen pump to treat spasticity. At that time, Rachel was the most praised and respected nurse practitioner at the practice. She saw all types of neurological conditions such as several types of dementias (Alzheimer’s, frontotemporal, Parkinson’s, Vascular, etc), obstructive sleep apnea, developmental disorders, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, migraines, strokes, Parkinson’s, neuropathies, ADHD, and muscle and nerve disorders.  During this time, she gained invaluable experience diagnosing, prescribing, interpreting diagnostic tests (EEG, MRI’s, and laboratory studies) and treating patients with chronic and episodic neurological conditions

After practicing neurology, Rachel decided to explore dermatology, most notably cosmetic dermatology, in which she was extensively trained and experienced in advanced techniques using neurotoxins (Botox, Dysport, and Xeomin) and fillers (Juvederm, Restylane, Perlane, Belotero, Artefill, and Radiesse). In addition, she also was extensively trained in performing a variety of laser treatments, and was recruited to become a national laser educator.

Realizing her passion was in neurology, she went back to neurology, focusing primarily on neuropathies. She worked at a neuropathy clinic treatment center, treating patients with various neuropathies and migraines. She was the head clinician/manager at the Phoenix location and later the Lake Havasu location.

She has now joined Arizona Neurology and Sleep Center where she will share her extensive neurology skills and experience with the patients and staff.
